Kimi in tall, wet grass

One of the things I love most about San Diego is that you can be in one place that’s warm and sunny and beachy, and then drive an hour and be in someplace completely opposite where it’s cold and wet and even a little snowy (we did not prepare adequately for this weather). After hours of sloshing about in wet grass and wandering lake docks, we ended the day in the quaint town of Julian with warm things: soup, cider and pie.

It’s not often that I get an entire day with my sister when we can just take a day trip and go exploring, but this was one of those days.
